What does being hostile to God look like? Doing everything you can to fix life’s problems, using God to get what you want, complaining, playing the victim, or anything that blocks you from praying are manifestations of a mind hostile to God. In this state, instead of fearing God, one fears circumstances. But this unbelief is absurd! God delights in saving us from no-way-out situations. While hostility towards God will cause him to withdraw, and eventually send us to hell, a desperate need and cry to God WILL be answered! There is no middle ground: are you in a place of submission, or hostility, to God today?
