WHEAT 1

The Wheat and the Tares (2002)

Real righteousness can be yours if you'll pay the price...

The parable of the wheat and the tares teaches the final separation of the righteous and the wicked. Romans 6 shows that this righteousness is real–not imputed. Tares resemble wheat, but are weeds. Similarly, half-converted Christians appear saved, but they are not. Their checkbooks and activities reveal a carnal heart.

Do you say, “I try to stop sinning, but sin overtakes me?” The truth is, you love sin. No sin can withstand submission to the blood of Jesus Christ. If you truly repent and give all sin to Jesus, you will be free to never sin again. Are you walking in love and innocence today? If you stepped into eternity with your current character, could you enter heaven? Or are you half-converted?
