Is your heart for Jesus undivided? The promise of the new covenant reads, “I will give them an undivided heart and a put a new spirit in them” (Ezekiel 11:19). This is the normal state of a person born again by grace.
On the other hand, a person with a divided heart (i.e. a double-minded person according to Pastor James) will participate in both religious and worldly activity. Perhaps you go to church on Sunday and pay your tithe. Then, you go home and kick back with a beer and the football game. Or, you say you’re a Christian, then cheat at work or yell at your family. Jesus wants truth in the inward parts, will you give yourself fully to Him.
