Jesus did not “put on” the lamb nature when he offered himself as a sacrifice for sin. He offered himself because he is the lamb. As Christians, we are to become this lamb ourselves. The baptism of the Holy Spirit doesn’t just dress us like a lamb. Instead, it changes us essentially so that we become lamb-like in nature. As a result, we act in the same lamb-likeness as Jesus.
