Scriptures Used During Today’s Message: Revelation 1, Revelation 2, Matthew 6:33
During this Christmas season, it’s easy to keep the image of the newborn king in our consciousness. Although Jesus was born a baby to Mary the Virgin, He is no longer a baby. Take a look at this description of Jesus after He had ascended into heaven:
I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. He was dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet.
Pastor Ray during today’s message
A golden sash around his chest. His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace. And his feet like the sound of rushing water. In his right hand he held seven stars. And out of his mouth came a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun, shining in all of its brilliance. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.
Pastor Ray walks us through how Jesus becomes or is restored as our first love. We are given to the word of God and to serve the people of God. Be blessed to trust Jesus as the first love.
We’ve become so accustomed to the American church where we think if we’re growing, we must be doing something right. And if we’re not growing, we must be doing something wrong. We’re not here to play church.
Pastor Ray during today’s message
We’re here for the fire of God to come down on that lampstand and burn in our hearts.
Always, the fire of God comes when God’s people repent of their sin, turn aside from it, and seek his face. That first love comes as a result of that self-examination and that washing by the blood.
Pastor Ray during today’s message
Have you lost your first love?? What are you devoting yourself to?
