City of Life (2005)

Today’s message is about the Church of Smyrna or the City of Life, one of the seven churches of Revelation. Where do you find your sustenance is the core of this message. The people in Smyrna thought their life was found in Rome, the culture of their day. In our culture, we’ve attempted to integrate the American culture into the Church, which won’t work as they’re diametrically opposed to each other.

May your sustenance only be found in Jesus Christ. When threatened with death, Polycarp was offered the chance to betray Jesus and save his life and his response is shown below.
