Be Ye Holy! (May 2017)

God said, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” This command is for the present time. And, a command from God is an implied promise for its fulfillment. By faith in Jesus, we can–and must–be made holy now.

This metamorphosis happens at conversion. True repentance and conversion entail total surrender and dependence on Jesus. This includes trusting Jesus even for the basic needs of life. Then, we mature as we continually “gird up the loins of our minds” and focus solely on Jesus and his kingdom.
