A God of Action (2015 Sermon)

Our God is always a God of action but we don't always discern what He is doing. Do you desire to get into action with God? Find out how on today's Pilgrim's Progress.

Scriptures Used During Today’s Message: Matthew 2, 2 Peter 1, Mark 11:22-25, Galatians 3, Daniel 2, John 15

This first seems like another Christmas message but it’s not so don’t be deterred from listening. We must take concrete actions to do what the Holy Spirit tells us. For example, if He says to turn off the internet, my response is to do what He tells me to do.

“It’s action and if you’re out of the action, it’s because you’re on the side of darkness and you’re drifting.” – Pastor Ray during today’s message

The call to action for us as Christians is to pray. Some may have to fight through sleepiness, which reflects a cold or hard heart, and others boredom but Jesus is looking for action from us where we will stand on His promises.

So we don’t pray very much because prayer is all about action. First of all admitting that we have no power secondly, it’s admitting that we’re gonna die if God doesn’t come and rescue us and third we’re saying we want our whole life transformed and changed and most of us are pretty comfortable with our little Hellhole that we’ve created for ourselves and that’s gonna all change when we begin to pray. God will begin to open things for us.
