Valley of Achor

Listen as Pastor Ray lays out the door of Achor that will become a door of hope, if we're willing to be honest about who we are before God and meet His conditions. This work of redemption is an awesome work that only God can do in us.

Scriptures Used During Today’s Encore Sermon: Joshua 7, Hosea 2, Colossians 1

Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou didst cast them down into destruction.

Psalm 73:18 Webster’s Bible Translation

We’ve been praying for judgment unto repentance. Do you realize this means we will be uncovered in the Valley of Achor? Have you dealt with the secret things in your heart before God? He must take us to the bottom.

Pastor Ray takes us to the story of Hosea’s wife in Hosea 2. The key verses are Hosea 2:14-15. Are you willing that this door of trouble be turned into a door of hope? The Lord will do that if you’re willing to be crucified with Christ and give up your life, are you willing?

We think this is utterly devastating we have been exposed for who we are. Everything is laid open to the eye we think this is the all-consuming reality of life (in the Valley of Achor) but the Lord God of heaven now suddenly in space opens a door and there’s another realm that we are invited to enter into and this realm is suddenly much larger than the valley of a core from which we have just escaped there is a door of hope…
