Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Book of Habakkuk
Follow us on the journey of Habakkuk. Habakkuk’s name means to “embrace” or “wrestle,” according to Hitchcock’s Bible Names Dictionary. I think that wrestling may help us understand Habakkuk more fully. We’re either going to embrace or grapple with God until we become an overcomer.
Are you willing to grapple with God until you’re made righteous, as happened with Jacob and other worthies? The cry of Habakkuk’s heart was answered by God and expressed by Pastor Ray during the message:
Arrogant Christians have just heard about God. But when we’ve begun to really see God, all we can do is say, Lord, forgive me. Forgive me. Change me. Make me righteous. Make me righteous, God.
