The Compassion of Jesus (2004 Sermon)

It's so easy to think that everything and everyone is against us, will you let the compassion of Jesus melt that heart of stone you have today?

Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Exodus 32, Exodus 34

In today’s encore message, a sermon from 2004 Pastor Ray talks about a new revelation of Jesus. We’ve grown so large and our problems have grown to where there’s no room for Jesus. Can you identify with that premise as a starting point for most of us?

We find out who God is by how He deals with us. What if we mess up and don’t know it or do something foolish, perhaps very foolish as the children of Israel did in today’s scripture? Will you allow God’s kindness to melt you down as you listen to the message today?

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”
