Breaking Out of the Straitjacket

Are you caught in a straitjacket of opinions about doctrine and practice that make you defective for the work of the gospel? This condition, described by Charles Finney in his memoir, Holy Spirit Revivals, can be diagnosed by casualness, lack of concern about holiness, or hardness of heart. The lack of Holy Spirit power in the American church ought to be driving all Christians to loud, unashamed prayer and childlike weeping–but only repentance will bring us to that place.
