Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Revelation 1:9-20, Titus 2 (grace reference), Revelation 2

Pastor Ray begins our study this week of the seven churches from the book of Revelation beginning with the revelation of Jesus experienced by John the Baptist (in Revelation 1). This graphic description of our Lord and Savior is much different than how most of us view Jesus (e.g. the baby Jesus, the healer, or other parts of Jesus’ life on earth). Even the Apostle John, one who knew and walked with Jesus during his life on earth, fell prostrate when he saw the risen Christ. He was absolutely terrified at what he saw.

Today’s focus is upon the church of Ephesus, a church praised by Jesus in some respects, yet had lost their first love, something that had to be rectified quickly or judgment would sweep them away. Listen as Pastor Ray explains what that looks like. Have you lost your first love, even as you’ve been faithful to do the things that Jesus wants you to do? We (all Christians) must become overcomers. (I’m including a couple of verses from the book of Titus below that Pastor Ray indirectly referenced during the message.)
