Declared or Made Righteous? (2014?)

Do you know that your life will reflect what you believe? If you believe that the blood of Jesus will make you righteous, that will be the likely reality of your life. Find out more on today's broadcast.

Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: 1 John 2:3, 1 John 2:15, 1 John 3:4-5, 1 John 3:8, 1 John 2:1, Galatians 2:18 (rebuilding what has been destroyed), 1 John 3:7-10, 1 John 5, Romans 7

The focus of today’s message is being made righteous, and Pastor Ray lays out many scriptures, mostly from 1 John, very clearly. We must simply repent, as the conviction of sin comes as the Holy Spirit uncovers our hearts. Pastor Ray explains being “declared righteous” which was the case under the old covenant.

And this is how we know that we love the children of God, by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God, to obey his commands. Love for God, love for Jesus Christ, is not some sentimental feeling. It’s not a tingling in your back. It’s not like having an imaginary friend that you talk to. Jesus is real. He’s the King of kings and he’s the Lord of lords.

We need not condemn ourselves as I (Brother Ed) did but rather agree with God and turn from it by the power of the blood of Jesus. Are you willing to turn from your sin today?
