Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Matthew 6:25-33, Galatians 5:13-24, 1 John 2:15-17, Revelation 3:1-6
Pastor Ray begins today’s broadcast with a childhood story and he lays out this same story differently in that Jesus was sought above all else and contrasts the outcomes in almost a socratic fashion. It’s all a matter of whether we seek first the kingdom of God in our lives and his righteousness (the same word means innocence as well in the Greek).
So what will Jesus bring to our lives if we choose to wake up? He draws this out for us using the scriptures in Galatians and Matthew listed above. Our life will be unlike the church of Sardis, which is a lot of action but not much substance, because the flesh is still in charge, despite all of the activities. In this place, there’s hardly any seeking after Jesus and his righteousness and there is no fruit of the Spirit (as laid out in Galatians 5).
The call to us is to WAKE UP (Rev. 3:3) and oftentimes that necessitates a shaking, which is right at the door. If you have not awaken yet, are you willing to boldly ask Jesus to change that in your life right NOW? Jesus can and will wake you up. Don’t deny your wake-up call from Jesus dear one, He is calling you.
