The Common Gospel

Has anyone ever told you that following Jesus requires you to give up all of your hopes, dreams, and life to Jesus Christ? If this offends you, it’s because you have never dealt honestly with your love of sin and rebelliousness. You must leave behind the sentimental, powerless gospel of the modern church that says you will always be a sinner. Eternal life is a free gift, but it’s not imaginary: you must be made righteous through faith. Will you stop struggling and simply believe Jesus?
