Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Hebrews 4, Hebrews 5, Hebrews 6, Hebrews 7, Hebrews 8
As stated in the title of today’s message, we must not only approach the throne of grace but also leave the world behind. As Pastor Ray states, we must be trapped in Jesus in our great time of need. Are you consciously aware of your great need for Jesus, or are you on automatic pilot trying to secure the lusts of your heart?
Have you engaged with Jesus in this learning process that Pastor Ray talked about during today’s message? We can only engage in this learning process (i.e., the school of the Holy Spirit) as we’re fully surrendered to Jesus.
14Therefore having a great high priest having passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, we should hold firmly to our confession. 15For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one having been tempted in all things by the same way, without sin. 16Therefore we should come with boldness to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
