sifting

Sifted Saints (2003 Sermon)

All will be sifted who say that Jesus is everything to them. Find out what the purpose of the sifting process is as you listen to Pastor Ray today.

Scriptures Used During Today’s Encore Sermon: Ephesians 6, Luke 22, John 17, 1 Corinthians 10

We become sifted saints when we cross that “obedience line” where we fully yield everything to Jesus. That’s when the sifting process begins. Many in this modern age have not given everything to Jesus, others have held out hoping that Jesus would give them what their heart desires.

But he (Peter) sins against God. He rejects Jesus for the sake of public embarrassment. He says, I don’t know Jesus.
He denies Jesus. But he’s not lost because he’s not dirt.
He has a heart that loves Jesus. That’s what makes the difference between wheat and dirt. The wheat loves Jesus Christ. And are sold out to him. No matter what the cost. Even though they make mistakes.

We step across that line because we love Jesus and have allowed Him to deal with anything that would block that love from our hearts. Only Jesus knows when that sifting process is complete.

What I want you to hear today, if you don’t hear anything else, is that there is no sin you can commit against God that cannot be covered by his blood. And he will take you back and establish you. The only thing that will block you is if you no longer believe that he will take you back.
