NO PASSION FOR JESUS

Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Luke 7

Where does passion for Jesus come from? It comes from the heart of Jesus as we see his great compassion and our great sin before Him at the same Him and it melts us down. It brings tears to our eyes and great brokenness of heart to cry out to Jesus over how we have treated Him and others, so much so that we’re willing to pour out our life directly to Jesus and others in great measure, regardless of the cost.

Or are you the Pharisee in today’s story, you’ve repented of your little outward sins and you’re on your way to being somebody? Are you the woman from Bethany or the Pharisee?

Most Americans have no sense of owing God anything.
And so there’s very little passion for Jesus. Pastor Ray during today’s message

That’s the gist of today’s powerful message, have you let Jesus ignite the passion in your soul for Him or are you fat and happy in your religion? Know that true passion for Jesus only comes through humility, repentance, and brokenness. It’s not something that human zeal can create… Here’s a final quote from Pastor during the broadcast.

I watch as he’s doing it, totally changing me, refining the character he’s given me. The passion for Jesus Christ in my soul comes from my recognition that I am utterly unworthy before him. And he’s changing me. Until you’re willing to come to terms with your own utterly evil, wicked, ambitious heart, you’ll have no real passion for Jesus.
