Scriptures Used During Today’s Message: Daniel 1
Pastor Ray uses the story of Daniel to illustrate what happens to us when we fully give our lives into the hands of Jesus. Most of us have bought the lie that we can be surrendered to Jesus and have our own separate lives apart from Him.
For example, I was taught that in the Christian life, as we surrendered to Jesus, we would walk on the clouds to heaven, with no cross, and no suffering. Many of you have believed similar lies and when we’re faced with great difficulties or suffering we want to retreat. We’re not called to retreat but to take the land and stand on the promises of God. So our circumstances may or may not be related to something that God wants in us, it may be much broader than that.
Have you made the decision to live your life on God’s terms, for whatever reason(s) he chooses without bitterness, rancor, or complaining but rather praise and adoration to our magnificent savior, Jesus?
