Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: John 14, John 15
Pastor Ray uses the story of Robin Hood to create the imagery of being part of the band of Jesus in the introduction. He combines that story with the theme of the one last call (see Revelation 14) that we’re in the midst of and we’ve been talking about for some weeks on the broadcasts.
He takes us back to John 14 to lay out Jesus’ call to believe in Him (which he went through on yesterday’s broadcast). Pastor Ray then goes to John 15 where we’re asked to abide in Jesus and allow the vinedresser (i.e. the Father) to prune us (cut off all of the things that are unlike Jesus). Are you willing to abide in Jesus and will you trust the Father to do the necessary pruning in your life as you give yourself to Him? Hear and heed the call of the Holy Spirit to your life today!
