God Needs My Help?? (2013)

Does God really need my help to accomplish His purpose in my life? This is something every serious Christian should consider as we study the life of Abram on today's Pilgrim's Progress.

Scriptures Used During Today’s Broadcast: Matthew 7, Isaiah 50, Psalm 84

It seems like we must unlearn many lies we’ve picked up through the years and one of the foundational lies is our judgments of others and ourselves, which block our way into what Jesus wants for our lives. Are you willing to be done, once for all, with all judgments in your life?

The way I treat other people is in reality the way I treat Jesus. (For that reason), Jesus is very observant regarding whether I’m passing judgment on another man or woman.”

Pastor Ray during today’s sermon

Today’s message will prove most beneficial to you if your heart is given to Jesus and God may have given you a promise but you don’t know to proceed. We’re told to wait, which we do for a season but the temptation will likely increase but we must wait for the Lord to tell us the How, the What and the When in our situation. You may have succumb to this tempation, as Abram did and what I’ve done which is go “make it happen” only to end up at the end of Isaiah 50 (which is in torment). You’ll understand this more clearly as you listen along.

What is the key to walking through these dark places? It’s total submission, the giving of myself and all that am, was or even will be (which includes family, resources, etc.) all into the hand of Jesus. This submission includes taking responsibility for my own behavior. Abram, as you see later in his life, was able to come through into what God had called for his life. Will you do the same and leave everything behind?
