Scriptures Used During Today’s Sermon: Isaiah 22
This message is directed toward Christians, as moral insanity is not normal Christian living. We’ve become the Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) church, no longer standing on God’s promises, no longer trusting Jesus to carry us through difficult times. The evidence is all around us, and it’s only increased since Pastor Ray preached this sermon.
Here are the kinds of behavior that suggest a moral insanity in our churches: a giving in to fatalism, a self-centeredness (no interest in the interests of Jesus, only what I can get), a preference for time over eternity (no awareness that our lives are but a vapor and a distance between you and others caused by sin).
Pastor Ray then takes us to Isaiah 22 to lay out the framework for a series of messages that we’re going to be replaying soon on fatalism and moral insanity and how others have gotten the victory over it. We’re called to come out of the world and be separate. Have you done that, or have you tried to mix the two (the flesh and the spirit)?
