Most of us have been driven by our fears, expectations of others and ourselves, and many other things. The question is whether we will give all of these things into the hands of Jesus and be set free to serve Him, to love Him, and to obey Him. Even the curses of God are a call to come back to Him as explained by Pastor Ray below:
The curses of God are always given in Scripture for one reason. To turn our hearts back to Jesus. Curses are not given to destroy us. They’re given to call us back to his heart. So as I’m driven by those past memories and God begins to deal with me and he begins to bring into my life situations where I have to confront them and recognize who I am and what I am and what he’s really doing is saying now will you give up the control? Will you give up the authority over these things? Will you put them in my hands and will you allow me to rule your life?
