Using 1 John 2:15-17, Pastor Ray outlines the three stages of life, which are represented by the lust of the flesh, followed by the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Although the issues faced at each phase in life differ, the primary question posed by God is the same. Will we live for the happiness of man or for the glory of God? If we fail to address the issues in each phase, the problems simply compound as we grow older. Finally once we become consumed with our own agenda, God will give us over to our sin as described in the first couple of chapters of Romans.
Are you willing to go all the way with Jesus and fully surrender everything into his hand or are you going to go halfway because your life is about your happiness and consumption?
