Pastor James tells us that Elijah was human, just as we are (James 5:17 (NIV) Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.)
The real question is not whether Elijah is like us but whether we will be like Him, sold out to God, to such a degree where God could use him to confront the wickedness of his day.
