The Sign that Points to Jesus (2009 Sermon)

We will make a choice whether we will serve Jesus or not but it may be an unconscious decision if we do not recognize the time of his appearing in our lives.

Scriptures Used During Today’s Sermon: Luke 19:44, Romans 2:4, Romans 3:10

Today’s message may seem to be about a homeless man named “Pete,” but it’s actually for and about all of us. We’ve all been convicted of our sins to varying degrees and have made decisions to either repent of them and get right with Jesus or let the hardness of our hearts continue. We’ve also seen God’s hand move and rescue us in our great need and despondency.

There is none righteous, not even one, as Paul states in Romans 3:10. The question is, what will we do with Jesus? Will we reject Him, or will we submit ourselves unto Him? Don’t make an unconscious choice to be in charge of your own life today.

In 1965, while reviewing her husband Billy Graham’s manuscript for World Aflame, Ruth Graham said, “Billy, if God doesn’t come soon and bring judgment upon the United States, He’s going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!”
