Scriptures/Sources Used During Today’s Broadcast: Pilgrim’s Progress Chapter 1 by John Bunyan
Pastor Ray goes back to the beginning of Christian’s journey from the City of Destruction in Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, on today’s broadcast. We’ve not taken this decision very seriously in the modern church, and most Americans believe they’re going to a better place, regardless of how they live.
That journey toward heaven begins when we decide to leave the City of Destruction. Have you done that, or is your life filled with hidden sin? God cannot be mocked (See Galatians 6:7).
But the question still remains the word of the Lord. Will thou leave thy sin and go to heaven or wilt thou leave thy sin? It’s a question of heaven and hell. See, we’ve not taken very seriously in the Christian church, Bunyan’s message. We haven’t taken the time to struggle through these hard questions about who are we? Questions about what is it you really want?
