Our dear Brother Russ presents today a clear case for what’s wrong the church. If anything, it’s more true now than it was at the time it was given, so the message is certainly not dated.

It also contains the simplest explanation I’ve heard about the two works of grace directly from the scriptures (from 1 John 1), as well as a call to tarry before the Lord for the Pentecostal power of the Holy Spirit to come (see Luke 24:49). It’s a call to wait before the Lord and let everything else go.
