If it costs you nothing to follow Jesus Christ, then you’re not a Christian. If you can have your own way, you cannot have Jesus. If you’re always right, you’re wrong. This is the truth of the gospel.

I know, the gospel is supposed to mean all the goodies you get. Now, the gospel is the wonderful cross that you get, the giving up of your life so that you can receive the life of Jesus Christ. You don’t receive the life of Jesus Christ and hang on to your old life.
