Faith Means That God Is Moving

Pastor Ray lays a simple definition of faith that a young child could understand. It's important to note as we begin some messages from the book of Hebrews tomorrow.

Pastor Ray comes back today to this definition of faith, which is vitally important in our walk with the Lord. He goes from the story of Cain and Abel, and to the Hall of Faith (Hebrews 11), to lay this out for us. It’s not complex, but we’ll miss it if we’re unwilling to obey God in the small and the great things of our lives.

Faith is simply obeying the word of God, no matter what it costs you.

Faith is obedience to God. It is doing what you’re told. If you’re not told anything, your faith is hopism (i.e. wishful thinking – Brother Ed). It’s not based on anything solid. It’s floating in the air somewhere about what you think you want and what you’re going to do. I can’t afford that kind of faith. It’s too expensive for me. I need to know this is the will of God. I’m going to do it.
