Scriptures Used During Today’s Message: 2 Chronicles 7:14, Deut. 17:16-20, 2 Chronicles 1:14-17, 1 Kings 11:1-6, Exodus 20:1
Pastor Ray begins today’s message by laying out the story of King Solomon in the scriptures, and then he goes step by step in revealing how to walk in God’s promise of revival. Humility is the primary focus of today’s message, as humility is largely absent in the church and in our culture. It’s very similar to the first two Beatitudes, “Blessed are the poor in spirit” and “Blessed are the humble,” rolled into one.
Without true humility, no revival will ensue. The final step is also quite difficult, because our “wicked ways” are not easily discerned and require humility, prayer, and a willingness to seek God’s face (not His hand). Where are you in this process? It’s not terribly complex, but it’s certainly jolting for all who truly seek after Jesus.
