Scriptures Used During Today’s Encore Sermon: Matthew 25 (Parable of the Ten Virgins), Matthew 24 (for context), Hebrews 11:1
Pastor Ray focuses this sermon on having oil in our lamps. What does that mean? He consults John Wesley and then Adam Clarke’s commentary, and both of them say that it’s simply faith working through love. First, he explains what that means, and then goes on to provide numerous examples, including several personal testimonies of God’s faithfulness to him throughout the years.
How do you purchase faith? You purchase faith by stepping out in obedience and risking everything on the word of God.
Pastor Ray during today’s message

The five foolish, on the other hand, had never tested God to see whether his word was true or not. They had never risked themselves to obey God regardless of the price.
