In the last post , Pastor Ray and John Bunyan were both talking about walking through the valley of the shadow of death. In this part of Pilgrim’s Progress, Christian cries out “I will walk in the strength of the Lord God.” I’m including an excerpt from a sermon preached by Brother David Sampson in 2006 and this excerpt was the only part of the sermon that remained as the tape was severely damaged. It’s very short (less than 20 minutes) and the sound quality isn’t good but I trust that it will be very helpful to some of you. The explanation of the word temptation, peirasmos, or “experience of evil” is enlightening as well. The place of standing in the valley of the shadow of death is full submission to Jesus.
