In John Bunyan's story, Pliable and Christian both began the journey to the narrow gate. Then, Pliable thought the journey was too difficult. He turned back to the City of Destruction, leaving Christian on his own. Soon, Mr. Worldly Wiseman turned Christian away from the path of life. After meeting Evangelist, Christian fled, and finally made it to the narrow gate.
From this illustration, we ask, “Did you set out to be a Christian, but then leave the path of life?” Or, “Did you pass through the narrow gate?”
