You were born to give glory to God. Practically, this means that you obey God. You don't rebel or make excuses. Rather, you live in a solemn fear of sinning. You know that you will die and face the Judge and Creator of the Universe. And what will be judged? Your actions–the fruit of your life–whether you did good, or did evil.
Jesus calls salvation, “overcoming,” “bearing good fruit,” and “entering the narrow gate.” However, if you convince yourself that you're right with God when in fact your life bears bad fruit, you block yourself from entering God's kingdom. Instead of giving glory to God, your hypocritical life shames him. And if you die in this sinful condition, God will cast you into eternal fire.
Is your Christian faith a mere philosophy, or do you walk it out?
