The Highway of Holiness

The Highway of Holiness

William Godbey describes God’s highway of holiness as a path with an “interior” and “exterior” way. The interior way runs down the center, flanked on either side by the exterior. Regenerated, but not sanctified, Christians walk on the two flanks. They are liable to fall at any attack of the devil, and then enter condemnation and hell. Those on the interior way are entirely sanctified. Their souls rest in an eternal sabbath, and the devil cannot reach them.

This gift of an entire sanctification is freely offered to all Christians. What are the conditions? Simply, an entire consecration to Jesus Christ, and letting him sanctify you. In other words, you no longer try to make yourself holy, but you let Jesus make you holy.

So what is your experience? Are you justified, entirely sanctified, or lost?
