The first step to overcoming unbelief is to recognize it. This cardinal sin is a wrong way of thinking about God. It finds excuses for why Jesus won’t baptize with the Holy Spirit. It says there is no hope for healing the sick, saving the lost, or turning America to righteousness.
But, Jesus said that if we believed in him, we would do the works that he did. The Holy Spirit doesn’t drop out of the sky. Instead, he brings revival THROUGH believers. Through Christians, the world is convinced of sin, the kingdom advances, the sick are healed, and the lost saved. May you so give yourself to the Lord for this work, and wait for the purifying and empowering baptism in order to do it!
