“Without holiness, no one will see the Lord,” says Hebrews 12:14. But did you know that holiness includes service for God? And that if your salvation doesn’t result in service, then you are not saved? Jesus Christ said, “For their sake I sanctify myself,” meaning, so that we could be sanctified. And he said, “Even as the Father has sent me, so am I sending you.”
Just as Jesus separated himself from the world for the service of God, regenerate Christians are to set themselves apart for the Great Commission. This includes a separation from the world, including T.V., video games, alcohol, fashion, and everything evil. When we thus separate ourselves, God sanctifies us. Once you have thus consecrated yourself to Jesus Christ and His Commission, you’re a candidate to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. Thus, you will have Holy Ghost power for service, and God will purify your character. You will walk in revival, bring God’s kingdom on the earth, and have everlasting fruit for eternity.
Are you a new person in Christ? If so, will you yield your body as a servant of “righteousness unto holiness,” and then go on to power for service?
