Repentance is indispensable to salvation. However, much confusion exists in the world and the church about repentance. In and of themselves, sorrow, conviction, promises to reform, and weeping are not repentance. Instead, repentance is a total and present renunciation of all evil (sin). This careful definition of repentance will help you determine whether or not you've repented.
